Before the Browns don pads and engage in full contact drills, they will already be without Ryan Tucker, who is recovering from a hip injury, Daven Holly, lost for the year to knee surgery, and Joe Jurevicius, struggling to come back from multiple knee surgeries, the result of being the latest Brown to suffer a staph infection.  In Erik Cassano's latest, he talks about the effects of these injuries, and says that The Injury Bug may be the only thing that can stop this Browns team from being great this season.

As we trudge towards Browns season, a lot of our favorite names continue to pop back up on our front page, and if you know Hiko, you know he's like a kid at a candy store now that camp has started.  Hiko pumps out a weekly piece for us called "The Browns Outsider: A View from the Cheap Seats", and in his first installment for 2008, delivers a great training camp primer for our readers.  Hiko goes position by position, giving us his thoughts on nearly every player on the roster.

It has already been almost two months since baseball's 2008 First-Year Player Draft.  A lot of draft picks have signed with their teams, while many more have elected to not sign and go back to school or pursue other alternatives.  While it is still early, third baseman Jeremie Tice is one player that the Indians took in this year's draft who is showing early signs of being a very good prospect.  Taken in the 6th round out of the College of Charleston (SC), Tice is off to a great start at Mahoning Valley, and T had a chance to speak with him this week.

This May, former Tulsa, Arizona State, and Ohio State coach John Cooper was elected to the College Football Hall of Fame Class of 2009, an honor that elicited a rousing chorus of "WTH???" from most Buckeye fans. John Cooper? Couldn't win a bowl game Cooper? Couldn't beat Michigan Cooper? The man who never missed an opportunity to miss an opportunity? A Hall of Famer who couldn't win the Hall of Fame Bowl? Say it ain't so!  But it is so. And the honor isn't as outlandish as you might think.
